Today we’re hashing it out with Modest Jones from Vegas Cannabis Magazine. Modest Jones is an African-American writer, model/actress, entrepreneur, and mentor. Most known for a Verizon commercial that launched in 2019, Modest has been in the entertainment industry since she graduated from Framingham State University in 2005. Modest Jones discusses her early life, early career, and how she coped with self-esteem issues. Additionally, she discusses sexuality and the sexualization of women. Finally, she chats with us about her involvement in the cannabis industry and why she got involved.
While Modest Jones got out of university, she moved to the hip-hop industry in New York. At this point, she was not interested in cannabis and avoided it as much as possible. After the birth of her first child, she began having chemical changes in her body, and for many other reasons, she began to gravitate back toward cannabis use. Within the next five years, cannabis began moving to the mainstream and she started working at Vegas Cannabis Magazine. Recently, Modest began plans to start her own column at the magazine.
Additionally, Modest Jones describes herself as a CBD activist. She has a serious passion for CBD and loves spreading the word. This happened when she saw a child who previously had learning issues excel in school after he began using CBD. She knows that not everything is for everyone. However, she believes that CBD can benefit so many people. From anxiety to cramps to pain, CBD helps you feel better when you don’t quite feel like yourself.
