Hash History

Of all the cannabis products you could chance upon at your favorite dispensary, there is one with a history so long that the origins can be traced to the middle east, where it has been used for medicinal and religious purposes for thousands of years.

Hash is a long-established, connoisseur method of concentrating marijuana. Traditionally, Afghani hash is pressed by hand with the addition of a small quantity of tea or water. The Hashish is worked on until it becomes highly elastic and has a strong aromatic smell.

How We Make Afghani Hash

At OMG THC, we’re famous state-wide for our Afghani hash. We make two types of hash and are the ONLY hash producers in the state. Bubble hash (which is produced using water, and if done well as we do it, comes out in a “full melt” style.

To make it, we take kief that we gather ourselves from locally-sourced cannabis flower. Then, we add additional full-spectrum cannabis oil extracted from flower (meaning it has all the original terpenes and cannabinoids from the flower strain itself. Next, the mixture is worked and agitated so it becomes elastic and aromatic. In the end, this produces a brownie-like texture to the hash and gives us that delightful, unique smoking experience we all know and love.

How to Consume Our Afghani Hash

Our Afghan hash has a sticky, gummy texture due to its high quality. Here are some options on how to consume this product. First off, many users choose to roll into snakes and wrap into or around a spliff or joint. This will increase the potency of your smoking experience. However, you won’t be able to taste the flavor of the hash as much as other methods. Secondly, you can add your Afghani hash on top of a packed bowl. Additionally, you can smoke our famous Afghani hash on a screen in a pipe or bong. This allows you to get that full, rich flavor as you’re not mixing it with any other substances.

Finally, you can vape it! Some vaporizers are specifically designed for hash and similar concentrates. Others can handle both dried herb and hash. It may be helpful to use degummed hemp fiber to keep the hash from clogging the vaporizer “works” and to make cleaning easier. A lower vape temperature will often give a richer taste. Some people like to start low and end with a higher temperature setting. When vaping hash, you need only start with a piece the size of a grain of rice.

Although these are the ways our team and product testers recommend, they are not the only ways to consume hash. There’s always more to learn and more ways to explore. Have fun with it and enjoy!
